Twin Cities Streets for People

People throughout our region are looking for improved transportation choices.

Community Design Group is sponsoring and supporting the creation of a new bicycle, pedestrian and transit advocacy group in the Twin Cities.

Twin Cities Streets for People will focus its efforts in community engagement, education and "alternative ideation" - the visioning and imagination of different frameworks for our transportation and mobility networks that can lead us to the creation of a more sustainable and humane region.

We will use our talents and resources to engage citizens, advocates and elected officials in imagining a more sustainable and accessible Twin Cities region. The focus of this organization will extend beyond Minneapolis and St. Paul into our region's suburban communities, where citizens and public officials are similarly searching for improved mobility choices, including improvements to pedestrian, bicycle and transit options.

Look for the official launching of this initiative on January 1 2008.
