Isaac Bros, M. Arch.

Urban Design / Research / Community Engagement

"The design decisions we make in our Cities impact the quality of life for our generation and future generations ...

We need to make conscious, beautiful, and inspiring choices when addressing our built environments so that people of any age and culture can enjoy them...

It is always amazing to me when I revisit places on foot or bike that I thought I "knew" in and out ... I start to see small details, people, smells I would have never noticed while in a car. It makes me wonder about what else we miss of the world around us when we simply zoom by in an automobile.

... I believe once we unravel our surroundings we will have a better understanding of ourselves ...

Isaac Bros is a visual artist and urban designer who has recently returned to his native Twin Cities after finishing his Master of Architecture Degree at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.

Isaac's academic work focused on the intersections between infrastructure systems and architecture in the urban context, with the goal of uncovering approaches that improve people's daily lives and enhance the built and natural environment. Much of his research was directed to sustainable building practices and natural water treatment practices in landscape design.

Isaac's prior professional experience in architecture and planning have helped shape his views on the importance of attention to detail in the design of elements for the public realm, and of the positive impact these elements can have on people's experience of place.

Isaac is a gifted visual artist, using his skills in perspective drawing, model making and graphic design to help clients and communities communicate and explore their ideas.
