Antonio Rosell is founder and Director of Community Design Group. He is an Urban Planner and a Civil Engineer with more than ten years of planning and engineering experience, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Minnesota.
A recognized place-making, urban design, transportation, and community engagement expert, his advice is often sought by neighborhood and community organizations, bicycle and pedestrian advocates, and public officials. He is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute, and is a 2006-2007 Intermedia Arts' Institute for Community Cultural Development (ICCD) Fellow and a Moving Lives Speakers Bureau presenter.
He has led numerous urban planning and community engagement projects. Two recent projects include our firm's completion of the City of Edina's first Comprehensive Bicycle Transportation Plan (establishing a comprehensive long-range bicycle transportation plan for a first-ring suburban community of 47,000 inhabitants), and of the City of Minneapolis 38th Street and Chicago Avenue Small Area / Corridor Framework Plan (a policy document covering land use, transportation and urban design guidelines for four neighborhoods in South Minneapolis with a combined population of more than 23,000 people).
Antonio's professional focus includes pedestrian and bicycle mobility, economic development, urban design, transportation planning, and community participation processes.
