Angela Dawson

Business development / Technical writing

Angela Dawson has fifteen years of experience working with cooperatives, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, corporations and local government agencies in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota providing research, professional writing and development services.

Her consulting work focuses on empowering organizations with a social change mission to meet competing demands through strategic planning, program evaluation, and grant writing services.

In addition to providing development consulting services to organizations, Angela has worked as Communications Director for Northcountry Cooperative Development Fund, a financial intermediary for the development and growth of cooperatives. She is currently Director of the Northside Food Project, a health, nutrition, economic and food security advocacy organization located in North Minneapolis.

Angela uses a combination of social marketing, community organizing and strategic collaboration to achieve her goals in bringing about a just and sustainable community infrastructure. She teaches organizational development, cross cultural community dynamics and grass-roots community building to non-profit managers and as a supplement to a graduate class at the University of Minnesota.
