Marshalltown Iowa is the county seat for Marshall County and a prosperous community of about 28,000 people located in central Iowa. In the summer of 2018 it was hit by a category EF3 tornado with winds of 145 mph which caused severe damage in multiple areas of the community, including the city's historic Main Street District and surrounding residential neighborhoods.

We are working with Three Rivers Park District to determine the preferred alignments for two future regional trails along the western Twin Cities metro area. The trails will include a north-south corridor between Bryant Lake and French Regional Parks, and an extension of the Dakota Rail Regional Trail.
The new trails will connect key park destinations, provide connectivity and access through the cities of Plymouth, Wayzata, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie, and connect to important local parks, trails and destinations.

Highway 252 is a four-mile signalized highway that provides a crucial north-south connection between Interstates 94/694 and Highway 610 to the north. MnDOT, Hennepin County and the cities of Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park are studying several access concepts to improve safety and mobility at the six intersections along the corridor.
Hennepin County's Bottineau Boulevard (CSAH 81) roadway reconstruction project in Brooklyn Park will transform 1.5 miles of an existing 4-lane rural roadway into a 6-lane urban roadway with new walking and biking facilities (which were recommended in CDG’s 2015 Brooklyn Park Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan).
