Safe Routes to School in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

The Action Plan will lead to a safer walking and biking environment for school age children.

We are proud to announce that we have been hired by the City of Oak Creek, Wisconsin to prepare a Safe Routes to School Action Plan for all public elementary and middle schools in their school district.

Oak Creek, a city of about 35,000 people just south of Milwaukee, is focused on improving walkability and access to Active Transportation for all school children in their community.

The Action Plan, based on our "6Es" approach, will outline recommendations and implementation for infrastructure and programs to create a safer walking and biking environment for school age children, with the goal of increasing walking and biking to each of their schools.

The project is currently in progress, with anticipated completion in mid 2017.
