Position: Proposal Coordinator

Community Design Group (CDG) is growing our team of talented and dedicated professionals, and we are looking for a Proposal Coordinator to help us build on our record of success!

Community Design Group is working with other project partners to develop design alternatives for the Rochester City Loop in Rochester, MN. The project is developing a “city loop” bike trail that will tie into the existing bikes network while creating a route encircling downtown. Supporting Rochester’s DMC Development District, the City Loop will provide comprehensively branded, low-stress, high quality walking and biking facilities that safely connect residents, employees, visitors, patients, and patient companions with places and spaces throughout the downtown.

Community Design Group was recently selected to develop the Comprehensive Plan Update for the City of St. Joseph.

We are excited to have the opportunity to engage with the entire community as we lead the visioning process, community analysis, technical evaluation, and development recommendations for the City of St. Joseph.

Community Design Group has been hired to develop the Comprehensive Plan Update for the city of International Falls!

We are excited to have the opportunity to engage with the entire community as we lead the visioning process, community analysis, technical evaluation, and recommendation development for the City of International Falls.

We are proud to announce that we have been hired by the City of Oak Creek, Wisconsin to prepare a Safe Routes to School Action Plan for all public elementary and middle schools in their school district.

Oak Creek, a city of about 35,000 people just south of Milwaukee, is focused on improving walkability and access to Active Transportation for all school children in their community.

We are happy to announce that we have been hired by the City of Bozeman, Montana to develop their Urban Design Guidelines covering all current and future development in the city.

Known as "The Most Livable Place" for its renowned natural beauty, world class fishing, skiing, abundant recreational opportunities, and gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Bozeman is also a regional commercial center for much of the south central region of Montana.

CDG is part of a project team working with the City of Ames, Iowa and CyRide to update the city's current transit system.

CyRide is the transit system operating in Ames. The system provides important connectivity between Iowa State University (ISU) and the City of Ames. In fact, over 90% of all rides on the CyRide network are from ISU students, with each ISU student generating about 170-180 trips per year!

CDG is working with other project partners to develop a long-term vision for the reconstruction of the TH 59 Corridor in Worthington, MN. TH 59 is a primary route through the commercial district of Worthington.

We've been working with residents and staff of Fitchburg, Wisconsin since spring of 2016 to update the city’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update will provide specific guidance regarding route networks, intersection treatments, programs, and implementation strategies to make walking and biking in Fitchburg more enjoyable, safe, and a viable transportation option for all residents. 

We are happy to announce that we are working with the City of Grand Marais, Minnesota to develop the city's long-range Comprehensive Plan. Named "America’s Coolest Small Town of 2015," Grand Marais is in the running to win the same award for 2016 - the city is known for its vibrant arts scene, natural scenery, and unique history. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to City’s downtown commercial district and venture into the nearby Boundary Waters Canoeing Area, "one of the world’s perfect paddling destinations" (Budget Travel Magazine).
