Presenting at Safe Routes to School Conference
On Thursday August 18, CDG Director Antonio M. Rosell, P.E., AICP presented as part of "Race, Class and Culture: How Safe Routes to School and Social Equity Can Walk and Bike Together," a panel at the 2011 National Safe Routes to School Conference.
Antonio's presentation focused on tools and methods that invite and expand citizen participation across ethnic, cultural and economic groups, and that foster community consensus and lead to more effective project implementation.
The panel was moderated by Robert Ping, from the Safe Routes to School National Partnership, with the goal of sharing experiences related to expanding accessibility and participation in diverse and low-income communities as well as to explore policy solutions being developed at the national level.
